Severe Weather Warnings As Cold Snap Strikes

Written By Unknown on Sabtu, 27 Desember 2014 | 22.56

Severe weather alerts have been issued across Britain with the Met Office warning of dangerous conditions caused by snowfall, heavy rain and extreme cold.

The Met Office says there is a 90% chance of severe cold, ice and snow in some areas of England between today and the New Year.

Yellow weather alerts are in place in the East Midlands, the West Midlands, London and the South East of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland's South West, Wales and across several other regions.

The cold weather alert issued by the Met Office warns conditions could "increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services".

The wild weather has already caused travel disruption on the roads, railway and at UK airports.

Motorists were forced to abandon their vehicles after becoming stuck in snow in Sheffield.

Traffic was backed up on the Prince of Wales Road in the early hours of the morning with some motorists reporting four-hour tailbacks.

Stranded coach passengers spent the night at Our Lady and St Thomas Church in Sheffield after their vehicle got stuck on the A61 heading out of the city. They eventually continued their journey early on Saturday morning.

Liverpool's John Lennon Airport and Leeds Bradford International Airport in Yorkshire were forced to close their runways while snow was cleared.

Four flights into Liverpool from Malta, Berlin and Bucharest had to be diverted to Manchester Airport on Boxing Day. Both airports reopened on Saturday.

A pilot at Manchester Airport was also forced to call the police after he was stuck on the tarmac for three hours waiting to be "de-iced" as the snow fell.

The ferry port at Calais, in France, was closed for around two hours on Saturday after a ferry was forced to turn back due to strong winds.

And Newcastle United football fans were forced to spend the night on their coach after it got suck heading back from Manchester near Rochdale.

Around 52 fans spent the night on the coach on the M62, before arriving back in the North East 12 hours later than expected.

Christmas night was the coldest of the year so far, with -8.5C recorded at Braemar in Aberdeenshire.

Temperatures could also drop as low as -10C in some places at the start of next week.

Leek, near the Peak District in Staffordshire, has seen the worst of the snowfall with four inches falling, according to the Met Office.

North Korea Accuses US Over Internet Blackouts

North Korea has blasted the US President following the release of The Interview, which features a fictional plot to kill its leader Kim Jong-Un.

In a statement, the reclusive nation's National Defence Commission (NDC) described the president as a "monkey inhabiting a tropical forest".

The statement, carried by the official Korean Central News Agency, accused Mr Obama of encouraging the release of the film, and threatened the United States with "inescapable deadly blows".

It also blamed the US for shutting down its Internet earlier this week, something the United States has denied.

The Interview was first screened on Christmas Day after Mr Obama and a number of high-profile Hollywood figures slammed Sony Pictures for pulling the film.

Sony had cancelled the film's release following a cyber attack and threats of violence against cinemas that chose to screen it.

Mr Obama accused North Korea of being responsible, warning that the US would respond "in a place and time and manner that we choose".

Pyongyang denied any involvement in the attack.

It went on to suffer internet blackouts, triggering speculation the US had launched a retaliatory attack.

"Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," the NDC statement said.

"If the US persists in American-style arrogant, high-handed and gangster-like arbitrary practices despite (North Korea's) repeated warnings, the US should bear in mind that its failed political affairs will face inescapable deadly blows."

The statement once again condemned The Interview, which stars Seth Rogen and James Franco, as "a movie for agitating terrorism".

Former British ambassador to North Korea John Everard told Sky News Pyongyang's latest statement was likely to have been well "calculated".

"This is the second statement that the North Koreans have released on this subject in a few days," he said.

"In their first statement on the 21st of December they took great care not to insult President Obama

"Clearly they have calculated there is nothing to be gained from trying to be nice to him."

The Interview took in a million dollars after its limited release on Christmas Day when it  was screened in some 300 largely independent theatres.

It was also released online for rental or purchase.

It is not the first time North Korea has resorted to crude insults to slam foreign leaders.

Earlier this year it called US Secretary of State John Kerry a wolf with a "hideous" lantern jaw and described South Korean President Park Geun-hye as a prostitute.

In May, it published a dispatch saying Obama had the "shape of a monkey".

Thousands of passengers are enduring major disruption after London King's Cross closed due to overrunning engineering works.

Paddington was also shut for several hours on Saturday because of overrunning works.

Network Rail said services there were "slowly returning to normal" - but disruption is expected until at least 7pm.

The King's Cross closure means East Coast and Thameslink & Great Northern passengers must start or end their journey at Finsbury Park in north London.

However, at one stage passengers there complained of being "locked in" due to overcrowding.

Thousands Gather For Shot Officer's Funeral

Thousands of police have been gathering in New York for the funeral of an officer who was shot dead with his partner.

Rafael Ramos was sitting in a patrol car with colleague Wenjian Liu on December 20 when they were both shot and killed by 28-year-old Ismaaiyl Brinsley.

Brinsley, who claimed he was avenging the killing of black people by police, then shot himself dead moments later.

Hundreds of officers dressed in blue uniforms have been seen standing outside the Christ Tabernacle Church in the New York City suburb of Queens.

Vice President Joe Biden has already spoken and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is among those expected to speak.

Mr Biden, who drew applause when he claimed the New York Police Department was the finest in the world, said the killings had "touched the soul of an entire nation."

When the Ramos family arrived, his eldest son - wearing his father's New York Police Department jacket - was hugged by a police officer.

Funeral plans for his partner, Officer Wenjian Liu, have yet to be announced.

The execution-style killing was so swift, according to the city's police commissioner, that the officers may never have seen their assailant.

Mr Ramos, 40, had been on the force for two years and was raising two teenage sons with his wife, Maritza.

It follows Mayor de Blasio and thousands more officers gathering outside the church for Officer Ramos' wake last night.

Survivors and families of victims have gathered across Asia for memorials to mark 10 years since the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.

Around 230,000 people died after a 9.1-magnitude earthquake off Indonesia's western coast triggered a series of huge waves in the Indian Ocean.

The rising waters caused devastation across the region, striking countries as far apart as Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Somalia.

The wave swept the whole of the Indian Ocean's shoreline, also hitting the coasts of India, Myanmar, Malaysia, the Maldives and Bangladesh.

Around six hours after the start of the disaster the coasts of east Africa - Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya - were struck by the wave.

Xbox And PlayStation Services Hit By Hackers

By Charlotte Lomas, Sky News Reporter

Hackers have claimed responsibility for a cyber-attack on Sony's PlayStation and Microsoft's Xbox game consoles.

The attack hit gamers on Christmas Day, and some users continued to report problems today.

The attack was claimed by a group called Lizard Squad, while another group, calling itself Finest Squad, said it was trying to get the games back online.

"I have the nation on strings," Lizard Squad wrote on its Twitter site. The group flooded Xbox and PlayStation servers with sustained Denial of Service requests.

"Xbox and PSN have been restored. Give it about 30min to an hour for full service", Finest Squad responded.

But frustrated users took to Twitter to vent their disappointment and anger at Lizard Squad, which also claimed responsibility for attacks on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live earlier this month.

"Is Microsoft going to reimburse us for the live time that we're missing out on that most of us paid for .. #xboxlivedown #Microsoft," wrote one user.

"PSN has been down for the past 48 Hours, my kids can't enjoy their Christmas present.#ChristmasRuined," wrote another.

Neither Sony nor Microsoft have confirmed the attack. But PlayStation and Xbox confirmed the outages of their networks, adding that they were working to restore the service.

"We're aware that some users are having issues logging into PSN - engineers are investigating," PlayStation said via its Twitter account.

A message on the Xbox Support Twitter account said: "We're aware users are having issues logging into XBL & are actively working to resolve."

The attack meant gamers were unable to play online and also impacted online components of hugely popular games such as Call of Duty, Madden, FIFA and The Sims 4.

Three Xbox platforms were affected by the service problem: Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Xbox on other devices, Microsoft's status website said.

Lizard Squad had issued a threat at the start of December and describes itself as the "Grinch of Christmas".

It is not clear what Lizard Squad wants or who they are, but some reports suggest the hacking group could be Russian, though this has not been proven.

A link on their Twitter site was originally a Russian-based domain.

The latest trouble for Sony comes after hackers calling themselves the Guardians of Peace broke into the company's internal systems and stole large amounts of data last month.

The hack was reported to be in retaliation for the planned release of The Interview, a film about a fictional plot to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

The Sony leak resulted in the release of details about some 40,000 employees, full versions of movies yet to be screened, and highly embarrassing private email exchanges.

Boxing Day Snow As UK Slides Towards -15C

Forecasters have raised the cold weather alert for large swathes of Britain - warning of ice, plumetting temperatures and up to 10cm of snow.

The Met Office has increased its alert level from yellow to amber - the second highest warning - for the the Midlands and the North of England.

An amber alert means "there is a 90% probability of severe cold weather/icy conditions/heavy snow".

The South, Northern Ireland, Wales, East Anglia, London and Kent are on yellow alert, meaning there is a 70 to 80% chance of freezing conditions.

In some central and northern parts, up to 10cm of snow could fall later today.

Meanwhile, temperatures could dip below freezing across much of Britain next week - falling to -15C in some parts.

Sky News Weather Presenter Isobel Lang said: "After this evening's low pressure system spirals into the near continent, the remnants of any snow should clear and it will turn icy.

"Scattered showers of rain, sleet and snow are likely to affect many areas during Saturday, but it will turn drier and clearer as high pressure moves in through Sunday and the run up to New Year.

"That period is likely to be the coldest of 2014 with some very low temperatures forecast. Minima of minus 10 to minus 15C are possible with daytime highs barely reaching zero or 1C in central areas."

The Met Office cold weather alert warns conditions could "increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services".

Met Office meteorologist Krista Mitchell said: "This year as a whole has been very mild, so this could be the coldest spell that we've had.

"As we go towards Monday and Tuesday, we will see overnight temperatures really drop, with widespread frost and most places dropping below freezing."

A spokesman for Transport Scotland said it was monitoring the conditions.

"As ever, the public have a vital role to play in terms of helping to minimise disruption," he said.

"We would advise people to prepare for some travel disruption as bridges could be affected by high winds and driving conditions could be challenging in some areas, so please allow extra time for your journeys.

"They should also check the relevant websites, such as Traffic Scotland, for up-to-date travel information before they set off."

Pregnant Mum's Life Support To Be Switched Off

Doctors have been given permission to switch off a life support machine keeping a clinically-dead woman alive because she is pregnant.

In a landmark ruling, Dublin's High Court said keeping the young mother alive would deprive her of dignity in death.

It added that keeping her alive would subject her father, partner and two young children to "unimaginable distress" in a "futile exercise".

The panel of judges said it was in the best interest of the unborn child to authorise the withdrawal of life support in what was a "tragic and unfortunate case".

The High Court added that it was a case of "great public importance".

The 26-year-old was pronounced clinically dead on 3 December after suffering a trauma injury last month.

Her family had sought to switch the equipment off to preserve her dignity.

But doctors refused, fearing they might be prosecuted under Ireland's strict Catholic-influenced abortion laws, which give the 18-week-old foetus the same constitutional rights as the mother.

Under the Irish constitution, the foetus is regarded as a citizen.

Coalition Pilot Shot Down And Captured By IS

Written By Unknown on Rabu, 24 Desember 2014 | 22.56

A Jordanian pilot has been captured by Islamic State militants after his plane was downed during coalition air raids in Syria, the Jordanian army says.

An army statement read on state television said: "Jordan holds the group and its supporters responsible for the safety of the pilot and his life."

Jordan did not say whether the plane had been shot down but said it had crashed during a Jordanian air force "military mission against the hideouts of the terrorist group".

The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said IS supporters said the plane was brought down near Raqqa city, a stronghold of Islamic State fighters in northern Syria.

The militants claimed to have used a heat-seeking missile.

The IS in Raqqa published photographs on jihadist websites purporting to show its fighters holding the captured pilot and showed a military card identifying him.

High Street Sales To Reach £342bn In 2014

By Sean Dilley, Sky News Reporter

Britain's retail sector is celebrating a record-breaking year as official figures are projecting an all-time high for sales in 2014.

The forecast from the Office of National Statistics shows that sales for the year are expected to reach £342bn - a £48bn increase since 2010.

Pre-Christmas sales are up by 5.2% compared with last year.

The Government says the High Street is fighting back with successes not limited to online retailers and big hitters.

Estimates from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills indicate a record-breaking year for independent and small businesses with £72bn in turnover.

Britain's retail successes have been credited in part to national promotional days like Black Friday and Panic Saturday.

But small businesses have benefited too, with more than £500m being taken across the UK on 6 December, which was dubbed Small Business Saturday.

Sky News spoke with Aylesbury residents Helen and Hannah Meade, a mother and daughter who have been taking advantage of Christmas bargains.

They explained how a modern Christmas is about putting money aside, about spending cleverly and shopping around for the best deal.

"We make a budget for each child," Hannah Meade said.

"And we save for four months ahead of Christmas. This year it's not too bad because I've put money aside to do some shopping for next year in the January sales."

Commenting on the retail figures, Business Minister Matthew Hancock said: "The return of the high street is fantastic news and goes to show that we are on course for prosperity."

Labour however has warned against complacency based on projections.

In a statement, the party said: "Britain's retail sector leads the world in innovation, supports thousands of jobs and we want to see it go from strength to strength.

"But sadly under the Tory-led government, across the board growth has been patchy, unbalanced and unsustainable, benefiting only those at the top."

Christmas debt is certainly a real issue for many. The latest figures from the Bank of England show that unsecured consumer loans, excluding student loans currently stand at £167.9bn.

Of that, credit card debt accounts for £60.83bn in October alone.

Mike O'Connor, chief executive of the debt charity StepChange, told Sky News: "Draw up a budget. How much money have you got coming in, how much can you afford to spend.

"And if you have still got a problem after your budget, you are in debt, go and talk to the people you owe money to, go and talk to the banks, the energy companies because they should help you."

A woman saw her teenage daughter and parents "killed almost right in front of her" in the Glasgow bin lorry tragedy - moments after she reportedly left them to withdraw money from a cash machine.

Jacqueline McQuade saw the aftermath of the crash which killed six people, including 18-year-old daughter Erin McQuade and parents Jack and Lorraine Sweeney.

The victims of the runaway council truck - which veered on to the pavement and drove up to 300 yards out of control before crashing into the side of a city centre hotel - were remembered at a special church service today.

Primary school teacher Stephenie Tait, 29, and Jacqueline Morton, 51, both from Glasgow, and Gillian Ewing, 52, from Edinburgh, were also killed.

Another 10 people, including the driver, were injured.

"On the evening of the tragedy, I was privileged to be permitted to spend some time with one of the families who had been cruelly devastated by the incident," he said.

"I was able to witness and share the grief and sadness of a mother and of a father for their daughter, and of two daughters for their mother and father.

"The distressed woman to whom I was speaking had seen her daughter and her own parents killed almost right in front of her. Can you imagine the horror?

"I tried to console them and comfort them. We spoke and we cried and we were silent before the abyss of their loss and the random meaninglessness of what had happened.

"They openly spoke of their faith, but their faith was sorely tried, and I commended them silently to god that the Lord would find the way to bring them comfort."

A statement released on behalf of the family of Jacqueline Morton said: "Partner John, sons Adam, Scott and the family are deeply shocked and saddened about the tragic accident on Monday culminating in the loss of our Jacqueline.

CCTV Shows Moment Before Officer Shot Teen

Police have released CCTV showing the moment before a black teenager was shot dead by a white officer in a killing which has sparked more violent protests in Missouri.

The 18-year-old was killed at a Mobil petrol station in the St Louis suburb of Berkeley on Tuesday night.

St Louis County Police chief Jon Belmar said the officer was responding to a call about a theft at around 11.15pm when he saw two men and approached them.

He said after talking to the individuals, one of the men pulled out a 9mm pistol and pointed it at the officer.

Chief Belmar said the officer fired three shots and one struck the teenager.

No shots were fired by the suspect, who was identified by his mother to local media as Antonio Martin.

CCTV video appears to show the man pointing a gun at the officer.

Detectives said they recovered the dead man's weapon at the scene.

Chief Belmar said the victim was known to police and had previously been arrested for assault and armed robbery.

Following the shooting, a crowd of up to 300 people gathered around the cordoned off forecourt.

A wall of police officers, some wearing riot helmets, guarded the scene with bystanders shouting at them in a tense standoff.

Footage showed fireworks being let off and some officers were injured after bricks were thrown.

Four people were arrested and there were also reports of others trying to break into local businesses.

Chief Belmar said he understood the emotions of the young people but that "bad choices were made" by the victim.

"This individual could have complied with the officer, he could have run away, he could have dropped the gun.

"All sorts of things could have happened. It didn't have to end with him approaching the officer with a 9mm pistol in his hand," he said.

He said the victim was dead when paramedics arrived.

Westminster Child Abuse: Claims Of New Murders

Written By Unknown on Senin, 22 Desember 2014 | 22.56

By Afua Hirsch, Social Affairs Editor

Two whistle-blowers who had information about MPs' involvement in a paedophile ring could have been murdered, according to a Labour MP who has handed a dossier of evidence to Scotland Yard.

Speaking to Sky News, John Mann claims he has evidence relating to the suspicious deaths of two men – a former Lambeth council official named Bulick Forsythe, and a caretaker whose name he did not disclose.

He said the police were already aware of the potential link between one of the deaths and the child sex abuse ring, which involved "highly influential" politicians during the 1970s and 1980s.

Although Mr Mann has now handed the information to the Metropolitan Police, he has been aware of it since the 1980s and 1990s, when he said the police declined to fully investigate.

"Bulick Forsythe had significant information in relation to child abuse. The second was a caretaker who said he had tapes relating to sex parties that were taking place," he added. "Mr Forsythe went to the police at the time and got nowhere. What I want to see is both those suspicious deaths reinvestigated."

His dossier includes 22 names of MPs he believes were involved in paedophile rings in north Wales, Lambeth, Dolphin Square in London, Rochdale, and one other location which he declined to name for legal reasons.

The MPs named include 14 Conservatives, five Labour politicians and three from other parties. Of them, 13 are former ministers.

Mr Mann told Sky News that he has given the police enough evidence on some of the suspects that he would expect the police to act "soon".

"I am confident there will be people arrested," said Mr Mann. "In some cases I'd be surprised if it didn't happen soon."

The prospect of arrests for child abuse by MPs is likely to intensify calls for an inquiry into the historical allegations.

Home Secretary Theresa May has been dogged by setbacks after two successive chairs were forced to resign over their links to establishment figures in positions of power at the time.

Mrs May said last week that the inquiry should have the powers of a statutory inquiry in order to compel witnesses to give evidence but members of the panel are reported to be "devastated" that the existing inquiry, which has started preliminary work, is to be disbanded.

Scotland Yard detectives were already investigating "credible" claims that the murders of three young boys - aged between seven and 16 - were linked to high-profile abusers, including MPs. One victim was allegedly run over by a car.

Last Thursday, a fresh appeal was launched for further victims of historical abuse at the Dolphin Square estate, in southwest London, to come forward.

Children were allegedly taken to sex parties at the plush property, which was popular with politicians.

US Families Prepare For 'Modern Day Apocalypse'

By Dominic Waghorn, US Correspondent

From the outside America may seem to be a land of endless optimism and confidence. But could it be in danger of falling apart?

An increasing number of Americans seem to think so, and they're preparing for the end.

They call themselves preppers. Mainstream suburban Americans hoarding supplies and weapons while leading otherwise perfectly normal lives.

It's a national phenomenon and it's supporting a doom boom industry worth many millions.

Braxton Southwick is a typical father-of-six in Salt Lake City, who believes the nice suburban neighbourhood he lives in could soon be swept away by some kind of modern day apocalypse.

Like other preppers, he's afraid of some impending catastrophe but also what that will do to American society.

"I think that is what I'm scared of the most," he told Sky News, "Not the actual events. I've already prepared for that. It's the aftermath, when there are no police, there are no military to protect us, we're going to be protecting ourselves."

The trigger could be a terrorist attack, a monetary collapse, cataclysmic failure in power generation, or a natural disaster. Preppers fear what comes next and have no faith in either their government or human nature.

"Once people use up all their resources, they're going to come after the people that prepared and had more resources. So basically we have to take care of ourselves."

Braxton and his wife Kara have a basement that will see them through Armageddon, literally. Enough dried and canned food to last six months. Enough guns and ammunition to turn their family into a small army.

And they have trained each of their six children, including the youngest aged 15, how to defend themselves with guns to see off the mobs of marauding looters they predict could come after them after their world collapses.

At the other end of America, another family are preparing in exactly the same way. In Virginia, Jay and Holly Blevins hoard food and weapons and run a network of like-minded families.

"We're not talking about folks walking around wearing tin foil on their heads," Jay tells Sky News. "We're not talking about conspiracy theorists.

"I'm talking about professionals: doctors and lawyers and law enforcement and military. Normal, everyday people. They can't necessarily put their finger on it. But there's something about the uncertainty of our times. They know something isn't quite right."

Jay is a celebrity in the strange but increasingly mainstream world of preppers, writing prepper books and touring America, speaking at prepper expos where a bewildering range of survival supplies and techniques are on offer.

Why is it happening? Partly, no doubt, because it allows Americans to indulge in some of their favourite pastimes: consuming, camping and buying lots and lots of guns.

And partly because fear sells, drives up numbers for cable news, and increases sales for everything from dried food to assault rifles.

But it's also arguably a sign of a country coping with economic decline. The end of the American Dream has left people more uncertain about their future, and their country's.

Katy Bryson is in Jay's prepper network. Prepping, she says, puts Americans back in charge of their destiny.

"They're not in control of whether they lose their job or not but they are in control of whether they are prepared. So I feel like that's why the industry is just booming right now for preparedness," Katy added.

It is also a fundamentally American phenomenon. In a country built on the radical individualism of its founding fathers, people have an inbuilt mistrust in their government's ability to protect them.

Sociologist Barry Glastner wrote The Culture of Fear. He told Sky News: "Americans are fairly unique as world citizens in that we tend to believe that we control our own destiny as individuals to a much greater extent than we really do."

Ironically, he points out preppers may actually be reacting to their fears in the least effective way. Dangerous weather, terrorist attacks and economic collapses are all best dealt with by higher authorities, he said.

"Where there are real dangers, to take an individualistic approach is usually exactly the wrong thing to do. So the kinds of things that the preppers are preparing to protect themselves from are much better handled on a community-wide basis than they are in your own home."

Bin Lorry Crashes Into Shoppers: Six Dead

A bin lorry has smashed into a crowd of Christmas shoppers in Glasgow city centre, killing six people.

The number of people injured is believed to be in double figures.

The crowd were believed to have been waiting to cross the road outside Queen Street station by the Millennium Hotel in the centre of the city.

As many as six ambulances are at the scene, along with the police and fire service.

People are thought to have been thrown up to 15 metres from the site of impact. Pictures showed people being treated along the street.

A woman who witnessed the entire event told Sky News: "The only way it stopped was actually hitting the building.

Sky correspondent James Matthews who is at the scene asked the witness to tell him about the people on the pavement who had been hit.

The woman said: "I can't do that."

She went on to say: "When something is coming up behind them like that, how can they run out of the way? There was noise and bangs and screams…

"There was a baby in a buggy. There were actually two little kids. It was just horrific."

Sky's James Matthews said: "There is no structural damage to the hotel. It is not a situation whereby people have died. This is bang in the middle of Glasgow's shopping area.

"It did collide with pedestrians before ramming into the structure and that has contributed to the casualty count."

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed there is an "ongoing serious incident" in Glasgow's George Square close to Queen Street Station.

Lauren Gilmore, a shopper in George Square, said: "Just over a year ago, we had another tragedy in Glasgow – it was the helicopter crash. And now this has happened again just before Christmas."

Witness Connor Gillies a reporter with Radio Clyde told Sky News that the whole of Queen Street has been cordoned off and emergency services are arriving by the minute.

Describing the scene on Twitter, Brett Molloy tweeted: "Christ something major has kicked off at Queen St."

"Whole of George square is shut off, bodies on the road. Scary man. Horrible, horrible scenes. Even worse at this time of the year. City centre is an eerie, eerie place right now."

The Scottish Fire Service tweeted: "Firefighters are in attendance at a serious incident in Queen Street, Glasgow. Our crews are working alongside other emergency responders."

Janey Godley tweeted: "Utter horrific carnage people on ground getting triage street poles smashed into pavement emergency services all over it.
